This was a project for my Studio Lighting and Photography class. I was inspired by the photography of George Hurrell, known for his classic Hollywood style. I specifically took inspiration from a photo he took of Ann Sheridan. To recreate the lighting of this, I used one spotlight directly over the model to create a high contrast shadow. I used a silver reflector to direct more light towards her face. Using a Canon R5, I then edited the pictures in lightroom to make them black and white and to darken the velvet chair she was sitting on.
